What’s included in the price?

All accommodations; All meals; snacks, drinks, and even wine tastings, and wine at meals. (Except bottles for purchase). We provide breaksfast everymorning, Lunch on the premise or on the road, (needs prior notice). Dinner ever night as well (Prior notice). There is also a "snack bar" for guest to munch on in between meals. We also provide all access to tours at museums castles, and wine tastings, but not to zoos, water parks, and other outings. All transportation during the trip under reasonable patience. For groups booking the entire facility pick up and drop off as far as Paris is available. Smaller groups local pick up and drop off is only available. Airfare is not included in the price. We provide bike usage free of charge, they compose of quality road and mounatin bikes.

How do I reserve a spot?(BACK TO TOP)

To reserve you spot; please call us at 1-775-232-8807 to speak with an expert. You can also start your reservation on line at www.biketheloire.com. or download the reservation form and fax it to 1-775-201-0993. This begins the process and an e-mail will follow up. If you make a reservation before 90 days prior to the trip, a $500.00 deposit is due at the time of booking. If you reserve your trip less than 90 days prior to the departure, the full balance is due at the time of booking. Please see below for information on when to book and what to do if you need to cancel.

How far in advance do I need to book?(BACK TO TOP)

We recommend booking your trip at least 90 days prior to departure. Trips do sell out or become otherwise unavailable, so booking early is the most reliable means of reserving spots on your dream vacation. Based on availability, last-minute bookings can be accommodated up to one week prior to departure.

What kind of trip information does Biketheloire.com provide?(BACK TO TOP)

When a trip is reserved an e-mail confirmation is sent out with basic information. Once deposit is recieved or balance is paid an e-mail to confirm the reservation is sent out. Approximately 6 weeks prior to departure you will receive an exclusive Biketheloire.com Packet. This Guest Packet includes destination and trip-specific information, local and regional history, as well as suggestions for packing and general trip preparation. Once you arrive at your destination your Guide will provide frequent briefings along with daily "must do's" and detailed maps allowing you to ride with complete confidence as you explore your new surroundings. You may explore the Loire on your own at anytime, but a guide is always available. Biketheloire.com also provides riders with GPS to guide them with more confidence.

What if I have to change or cancel my trip?(BACK TO TOP)

If you must cancel your trip more than 90 days prior to departure, there is a cancellation fee of $100; between 61 – 90 days prior to departure there is a cancellation fee of 25% of the original trip price; between 31 – 60 days prior to departure there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the original trip price; there is no refund for canceling a trip less than 30 days prior to departure.If you choose to change your trip more than 90 days prior to departure, you may do so with no fee. From 61 – 90 days, there will be a $100.00 administrative fee. If you choose to change your trips within 60 days of the original trip start, the cancellation policy outline above will apply. Please be aware that it is only possible to move to another trip within one year of the original trip departure date.

Do I need travel insurance?(BACK TO TOP)

Biketheloire.com highly recommends travel insurance in the event of a medical emergency. If you need help with this please contact out office and we can help with any questions. You should purchase insurance on your own.

Will someone meet me at the airport? Are transfers included?(BACK TO TOP)

If your group has booked the entire facility we will pick the group up as far as Paris granted they are all together. Smaller groups or seperate groups of people will need to arrive at a local depot, such as the train or bus station, from there we can provide transportion. On departure the fully booked facilty group has a ride as far as Paris granted they are all travel to Paris. Smaller groups tend to be transfered to the train station.

What kind of travel documentation do I need?(BACK TO TOP)

All international travel, including Canada, requires a valid passport. None of Biketheloire.com's destinations require a visa for U.S. citizens. Other nationalities may need to obtain a visa for certain countries. If you do not have a passport and/or need a visa, contact the appropriate consulate nearest you or http://travel.state.gov/.

How big are the groups?(BACK TO TOP)

The average group size is 8 people. Some weeks 6 people are visiting, Many of our guests are groups. We also recieve couples on a quiet getaway, and 4 person families just visiting.

What does “double occupancy” mean?(BACK TO TOP)

Our prices are per person based on two people sharing a room.

What is a single supplement? Do I have to pay it if I am traveling solo?(BACK TO TOP)

Because our prices are based on double occupancy, we offer a single supplement to those guests traveling solo who would like to guarantee their own private room. This supplement is in addition to the standard trip price. If you would like a roommate, we often can pair you with another solo traveler (of the same gender). If no roommate is available the additional charges will apply, but you will be notified 60 days prior. Cancellation fees will not apply until 45 days of the trip if singles opt to cancel and follow the penelties listed above.

Can I bring my kids?(BACK TO TOP)

Of course you may. This is a perfect vacation for families. Children under 5 stay for free. Baby formula is not under the all inclusive category, and trips to the store for "picky" children are at visitors expense. Children not staying in the same room as the parents are under the single supplement category if they are the only child.

What bikes will we ride?(BACK TO TOP)

It is highly suggested that you provide your own bicycle because that is the most comfortable and reliable way to travel. Bikes can be provided for an and need to be pre-arranged prior to arrival, please let us know if this is needed. If a bike is needed we provide some of the best quality bikes that can suite all riders.

How much cycling/bike riding do I have to do on an Biketheloire.com Trip?(BACK TO TOP)

You are required to ride none if you like. Bike riding is the funnest way to see the loire at a lesurely pace and we believe this mode of travel on any vacation is the way to go. We prefer people to visit the local flare via bike because it is so wonderful. If anyone gets tired we pick them up no questions asked. We also provide shuttle service to further away destinations like chamb ord where many people physically can't bike that far, but is considered a "must do" in the Loire Valley.

What kind of shape do I need to be in?(BACK TO TOP)

Not bad of shape. The most we can travel in a day is 40 to 60 kilometers, wich is roughly 25 to 37 miles a day. But if that is to much don't forget that we can always shuttle you.
