One of the best and greatest activities to do in the Loire is of course biking. The roads are welcoming, biking along the loirecalm, quiet and of course beautiful. The French have also recently just built a bike path along the Loire that travels for miles and is perfect for that long mellow excursion.

Imagine a countryside of rolling hills ancient villages, beautiful surroundings, and few cars. Right outside your room 3 famous castles are accessible by bike with little effort. bikiing chambordNot to mention miles of country roads that will excite any group of people.

A bike distance away is what we like to call it. The purpose to enjoy a day on the bike and never be rushed. So what is "a bike distance" away? One ride we old bikelike to do is ride to Langers where its not to far, but having lunch at a bistro right next to the chateau Langer as it towers before you. After lunch take a peak inside and then slowly cruise back home.

Another is riding to Chateau Usse. The castlUssee copied for Snow Whites. This is always a favorite, not to mention great restaurants close by and a wine shop to glance at.

How about to a wine cave? not a problem there are several routes to chose from to taste a variety of wines from the region. This is always exciting. The hosts are wine cavealways curtious and knowledgable. You will leave with a new found respect for the history and quality of wines of the Loire.
